Fast Feet Class

"Fast Feet" - Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ) Class

Our "Fast Feet" Course is a system of training that involves quick movements of the body in a pattern.
Often following injury and rehabilitation, these movement patterns are poor.

Speed, Agility and quickness are skills that can be learnt through specific drills that improve the body/brain connection, and are part of a fun dynamic programme.

Duration: 6 weeks, Classes run for an hour, two nights per week (Tuesday and Thursday)
Frequency: New group commences every six weeks
Benefits:
• Improved performance – faster sprints, dynamic direction change, explosive take-offs
• Reduced Injury Risk 
• Ideal for anyone returning to sport following an injury.

Spinal Stability Classes

Spinal Stability Class

Our Spinal Stability classes are designed to address the muscles weakness and poor control that occurs with Low Back Pain (LBP) causing many recurrent episodes and further degeneration.

Our classes are based on the latest evidence that involves specific, graded and progressive exercises to improve ”Pillar” strength and reduce recurrence.

Duration: 8 week programmes for lower back. Neck and upper limb programmes also available.
Frequency: A new course commences every 4 weeks. Classes run from 6-7pm on a Monday or Thursday night.

• Reduce recurrence of lower back and neck pain
• Learn good postural habits
• Move with confidence

Strength and Balance Physiotherapy Class

Strength and Balance Class

This class is designed to keep seniors moving and strong so that they can remain independent. It involves a balance component of Tai Chi and a strength component using light weights in a small group setting.

Duration: Once per week, late morning for one hour.
Frequency: Runs each school term
Benefits:
• Improves strength and confidence to help reduce falls.

Additional Services - FMS Testing

Functional Movement Screen

The Functional Movement Screen, is a system to rank, grade and document movement patterns that are the key to normal function. It allows identification of functional limitations and asymmetries, which may impact on the effectiveness of training and physical conditioning, and predispose people to injuries.

Once only available to elite athletes, North Parramatta Physiotherapy is now offering FMS screening.

Duration: FMS screening takes one hour.
Frequency: An appointment may be made through reception.
Benefits:
• A consistent and reliable testing method
• Easily identifies movement limitations and dysfunction
• Improves efficiency, durability and performance
• Provides an enhanced foundation for exercise and performance programming
