Then the Functional Movement Screen might be just the answer!
Once limited to elite athletes only, the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is an innovative system used to evaluate movement pattern quality.
Often, breakdown and injury occur when poor movement patterns exist.
The FMS is used to identify asymmetries and muscle imbalances that can lead to injury.
Corrective exercises can then be prescribed to build strength in a highly targeted way, so that ongoing niggles are reduced.
The screen consists of seven fundamental movement patterns that require a balance of mobility and stability, and place the individual in extreme positions where weaknesses and imbalances become noticeable.
North Parramatta Physiotherapy is now certified to conduct FMS screenings.
As our final Information Night in our series for Coaches/Managers/Trainers and athletes, we are offering our patients an invitation to attend also.
We will be running two sessions:
Monday 12th May at our Fairfield Rooms at 7pm (in the grounds of the Westfields High School)
Tuesday 13th May at our North Parramatta Rooms at 7pm
If you are interested, please RSVP to [email protected] or ring our rooms on 9890 2444
The evening is free of charge, and the first few to register will receive a copy of our
Coaches Information Handbook. Places are strictly limited, so get in early!
